Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Professional Development Educator enhances professional practice and the provision of quality patient care by providing evidence-based quality educational programs and activities that promote professional aptitude for nursing, inter-professional, and non-licensed clinical staff at the assigned facility.

What you will do in this role:

• Participates in the development, coordination, managing, facilitating, conducting, and evaluating of onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel
• Conducts orientation in a manner that facilitates a positive learning environment. Incorporates organizational values/culture into the orientation process
• Identifies learning needs of staff and assesses practice gaps, comparing competencies to actual practice. Plans educational content with learner engagement
• Partners with the Clinical Education Market Director to review outcomes data to evaluate and refine aptitude management activities
• Demonstrates an expertise of adult educational theory and the ability to apply evaluation methodologies, (ie, Kirkpatrick) into courses and curriculum to refine clinical programs

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing required.

Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited school of Nursing preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:

3 to 5 years related experience.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, customer service, math, analysis, reading, following instruction, basic computer usage.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire. BLS and ACLS required. CCRN preferred.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse
• Registered Nurse Diploma
